Women on Missions

Leader: Sandra Bell

Our “Women On Missions” team is a group of women with a focus on missions while maintaining fellowship for the women involved. Using resources and materials from the Women’s Missionary Union (WMU) as well as their own research and connections, they learn about, discuss, and pray for the mission projects being done in various places all over the world. Every month they discover and share the struggles and successes of missionaries around the globe.

Women on Missions also helps educate the children of Aspen Park about the importance of missions, both local and abroad, promoting a mission-minded focus for the church. Every year they sponsor activities to encourage and support missionary work, including an annual drive to send care packages to soldiers serving overseas.

Women on Missions meets twice a month on the second and fourth Thursday to discuss ministry goals and needs.

Founded in 1888, WMU is a nonprofit missions organization that has educated and involved generations upon generations in Christian missions. To find out more about WMU and what they do, visit their website at www.wmu.com.
