Lottie Moon International Missions Offering

One Sacred Effort

The Lottie Moon Christmas offering is collected every year at Christmas time. Aspen Park Baptist Church has a set a goal of $7,775.00.

As of this posting APBC members have just begun contributing and current contributions come to just a little over $1,000.

One hundred percent of money given through Lottie Moon is sent to the International Mission Board of the Southern Baptist Convention to support global mission efforts of the SBC.

This past year, a team from the First Baptist Church in Pompano Beach, Fla., prayer-walked through a community in the Dominican Republic where a local Baptist pastor hopes to start a church.

More than one way to participate

We don't only support missions through our finances but also through prayer and learning more about the missionary efforts.

On the IMB website is an eight-day plan to pray for missions. The Week of Prayer is a great way to get personalize and bring the mission efforts closer to home. Plus, the greatest support anyone can give is time spent in prayer. And the more specific, the better the support.

Why there you might want to take minute to review the International Mission study on the Ivory Coast.

Lottie Moon Post Office

There is one more Sunday left to take advantage of the Lottie Moon Post Office service. This is sponsored by the Women's Mission efforts. It's a great way to take money you would spend on postage and contribute to the Lottie Moon offering.

Here's how it works.

You address your cards to APBC church members (only). Then bring them to the Lottie Moon Post Office along with the cash for your postage. Other members know the  post office is available and come by to pick up their mail.

If you want to give a little extra to help the Lottie Moon Post Office funds, donations are always accepted. Everything collected is sent to the national offering.

In summary

Contribute: Pray about your contribution. There are several ways to give: online, in the Sunday offering at Bible study or in worship, drop by the church office, put it in the mail. The important thing is to be obedient to God's guidance as to what He'd have you contribute.

Pick up your mail: Whether you send Christmas cards or not, there might be a card (or two) waiting for you in the Lottie Moon Post Office so Sunday pop in and check your mail.

Prepare: The story of God's grace can save the world. Hear what our leadership has to say about the Lottie Moon Christmas Offering and what it means to be a missionary overseas.

Thank you for supporting missions all over the world.
